👋 Hey, I’m Davis from the beautiful and small country of Latvia 🇱🇻.
I built this for me, myself and I. And whoever else might be a fellow AvGeek or maybe a brave (but anxious flyer) who wants to know more about the plane that they are about to board.
Ever since high-school I have been passionate about aviation. I wanted to be a pilot, but my eye-sight isn’t build for that. Instead, I joined the aviation industry by having a dream job. I was selling Airbus A320 and A321 airplanes to other airlines (for technical nerds B2B ACMI). Before covid I left the industry to pursue my own businesses in other industries, but the passion stayed. I still go to international airshows regularly, follow the industry news and plane spot at my local Riga Airport (RIX/EVRA).
This project would not exist without the Ship Or Die community by fellow indie builders @marclou and @jackfriks. I love to build, but to stay consistent, I have to build/market a project every 30 days (or else they’ll ban me for life - a great motivator to keep going).
For whoever is reading this, I would love to hear about your experience with this project and feel free to point out any issues as well. Just tweet and mention @nabutovskis on X.
This text was written by me without any help of AI. (Although Claude Code did help me to build this project).
P.S. try clicking on Storky — my stork mascot :)
